Cost-effective call transcription powered by 3CX AI.
Update 4 introduces groundbreaking 3CX AI, to make transcription more affordable. Unlike external services such as OpenAI or Google, 3CX AI comes at a better price.
Enterprise users can access 3CX AI transcription free of charge for the remainder of 2024. This trial period helps us gather data on usage patterns to finalize fair and competitive pricing, which will likely include an annual plan with a fair-use limit on transcription minutes. Take advantage of this opportunity to explore the feature at no cost before the final pricing is introduced in 2025. Let’s dive into the details.
Free Voicemail Transcription
Free voicemail transcription will also be made available in this update. You’ll now find it much easier to review missed messages without having to listen to entire voicemail recordings. It will automatically convert voicemails into text to save time so you can stay organized.
Call Transcription Free for Enterprise Users for Rest of 2024
Transcription and analytics demand significant computational resources, powered by GPU-equipped cloud servers which are in high demand and scarce and expensive. To make these cutting-edge features accessible, as promised, we’re providing enterprise users with complimentary access until the end of 2024. This is your chance to explore AI-driven transcription at no cost for a limited time.
For 3CX, this serves as an opportunity to collect real-world feedback and fine-tune our pricing model to ensure maximum value for our users. From 2025, transcription – and later analytics – will transition to a separate license upgrade. But for now there’s no financial commitment required from you to test these features for the rest of 2024.
Granular Control of Transcription
Choose what to transcribe. 3CX now offers even more flexibility with department-level transcription settings. Administrators can:
- Enable or disable transcription per department.
- Override settings for queues or ring groups.
This feature builds on the groundwork laid in earlier releases giving businesses the tools to prioritize transcription for key departments like sales or support, while excluding less relevant areas like internal accounting. For example, sales teams can leverage transcription to track customer interactions, ensuring data is targeted and relevant. Use this opportunity to explore this in more detail.
How It Works
Call transcription requires call recording to be enabled – as only recorded calls will be transcribed. Once a call is recorded, the data is securely sent to our cloud servers for transcription. After processing, the transcription is returned and the recording is automatically deleted from the server. This way you will be able to take advantage of our advanced cloud GPU technology, which is essential for handling the demands of transcription. Standard servers are not capable of handling this task efficiently.
Call Control Web-Based API
Streamline live call management with the updated Web-Based Call Control API. This new API simplifies integration and supports:
- CRM-initiated calls.
- AI-guided workflows for incoming calls.
Complex setups that once required advanced developer expertise are now accessible to a wider range of users, saving time and resources.
You can see more information on the call API and how to use it here.
