Google sync and flexible routing options in 3CX Update 5 BETA.

Building on Update 5 Alpha, the BETA introduces Google integration, powerful routing scripts, and new admin tools. Let’s break down what’s new and improved.

Google Integration: Sync Users, Calendars, and More

The latest update integrates Google Workspace for quick and easy synchronization of users, personal contacts, calendars, and user profile photos. Features like SSO and extension number mapping ensure easy setup. This works in a similar way to the popular MS365 integration.

Generate Temporary Remote Access Links

A new feature in U5 allows admins to generate temporary links for remote access to the Web Admin Console. This is perfect for allowing tech support from partners or 3CX for troubleshooting without granting full-time access.

Updates to Transcription Licensing

The 3CX Engine for Transcription is now disabled for PRO and ENT users with 4SC licenses. For 8SC and higher, PRO users can access voicemail transcription, while ENT users gain both voicemail and recording transcription capabilities.

3CX Engine for Transcription – Voicemail now has a higher priority; We’ve added support that when 3CX is used to transcribe it will be served faster so you’ll always get voicemails notification with transcription. As previously communicated, this feature remains in BETA. Whilst we consider future pricing for these features, it is available without cost for testing.

Advanced Call Routing Scripts

Two new call flow scripts have been added to simplify how calls are managed:

  • Inbound Caller ID Routing: This script matches incoming caller IDs with predefined rules and routes them to the destination you specify. Updates are quick and effortless, with no need for regular manual imports or adjustments.
  • Inbound DID Routing: Matches incoming calls to DIDs and routes them to the specified destination. You can update routing rules easily without needing to import changes. Note: Calls may be rejected if your trunk is configured with strict settings.

These scripts add flexibility without additional admin effort once configured.

  • Fanvil V61G
  • Fanvil V61W
  • Fanvil V62G
  • Fanvil V62W
