Hi Everyone
After four amazing years as part of the leadership team for the FreePBX Project, I have decided to embark on new challenges in my professional journey. Working on this incredible project alongside such talented individuals—my colleagues, the broader open source communities, partners, customers, and resellers—has been a true privilege. I’m wrapping up the transition of my duties now.
With the upcoming release of FreePBX 17, this feels like the perfect moment to transition. I see a bright future ahead for FreePBX, especially with its renewed foundation on Debian and the introduction of new AI, UX, and cloud initiatives. The project remains in excellent hands with Kapil Gupta as the FreePBX Project leader and Josh Colp steering Sangoma Open Source initiatives.
My journey with FreePBX and Asterisk began back in 2008, when I set up a simple phone system for a small team. From tinkering and experimenting, to joining Sangoma and contributing more significantly, it’s been an incredible adventure. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.
I’ll still be around and active in the FreePBX community, so feel free to reach out to me there.
Sincerely,
Lorne Gaetz

I am Rakib Raihan RooSho, Jack of all IT Trades. You got it right. Good for nothing. I try a lot of things and fail more than that. That's how I learn. Whenever I succeed, I note that in my cookbook. Eventually, that became my blog.
