Real-time status visibility, easy call handling and call pick-up functionality included.

You’ll recall the 3CX iOS App is fully optimized to align with Apple’s iOS 18 release. Specifically, there’s better stability with our updated internal libraries – reducing crashes and improving app performance – and enhanced call reliability with clear audio and video quality for every call – all at no extra cost. Continuing this success, and building upon the work of the more recent BETA release, a key highlight of today’s iOS Final release is BLF (Busy Lamp Field) Support which gives our iOS users even greater control over calls. Read on to learn more.

BLF Support Advantages

BLF support offers users some significant benefits. There’s Real-time status visibility letting you check if colleagues are available or on a call, away or busy. There’s also Easy call handling via BLF which lets users initiate new calls, perform blind or attended transfers, or park/unpark calls. And finally, if you’re on V20 Update 5, there’s Call pickup functionality which lets users pick up colleagues’ calls.

You can access BLF easily in the iOS App. Tap the Team button in the navigation bar. Then from the top left corner, switch the filter to BLF. If you’re using BLF in the Web Client already you’ll find it’s automatically enabled in the iOS app. However, if you’re a new user you will need to configure your BLF settings directly in the Web Client. Here’s how:

  1. Login to your Web Client
  2. Tap on the 3 horizontal dots in the navigation bar
  3. Go to Settings > BLF
  4. Set custom types: Line, Speed Dial, Shared Parking, Queue Login/Logout, and more

Call Quality Issues Monitoring & Reporting

Diagnose and solve problems in record time with the Call Monitoring Tool in the iOS client. All you need to do is open the hamburger menu, and tap on ‘Monitor Connection Quality’. Select the period of time to be monitored. A report is generated in your Call history records once the call has come to an end. If you need a more extensive report you’ll find this in your Web Client. Once logged into your Web Client go to ‘Calls’ in the navigation bar. Click on the ‘Show call quality report’ button next to your call.

Edit Numbers

Edit a number before making a call with the edit mobile number feature. All you need to do is go to the Recents tab, and tap on the item – or tap on the menu button and select ‘Edit before call’. You will be shown a dialog. Once you make your changes, all you need to do is tap on the Call button to make the call.

Google Integration

Available now with V20 Update 5, Google Workspace integration allows for synchronization of your personal contacts. Go to your Contacts tab and switch to the Google filter. This feature is not available with previous versions.
